Local bookstores here have long been dominated by exam guides and competitive textbooks — there was no real space for reading as a lifestyle. At the same time, Gen Z and Millennial interest in anime and manga has been surging, often served only by online sellers with rampant counterfeit prints.
And beyond malls and coffee chains, the city's readers and fans had nowhere to meet, browse, and connect around the stories they actually love. HEROS @ ABC exists to fill that gap — a genuine "third place" for Vijayawada's pop-culture community.
Every title on our shelves is chosen by people who actually read them. We'd rather do a tightly curated set of genres well than stock a wall nobody asked for.
